PROGRAMME OF WEDNESDAY WALKS 

We meet at the Cuckoo Trail Car Park off South Road at 9:15 for a 9:30 start. Grid reference is the walk starting point. All walkers should wear boots or stout shoes and bring something to drink.  Although walking is one of the safest activities, we expect walkers to behave responsibly and to follow any advice or comply with any instructions given by the walk leaders.  It is recommended that members should carry their own first aid kit.

 Laughton Circular. Fairly flat walking through woods, tracks, quiet roads.

 Maybe muddy. Some stiles. Park in Church Road

 Alfriston circular, through Rathfinny Wine Estate. One short sharp incline.

 No stiles. Park in Willow Car Park. BN27 5UG

 East Dean circular with two short ascents taking in Friston, Wilmington Hill

 and descending via South Downs Way.

 Summer Lunch at the Green Man, Ringmer - Short Walk planned prior to the lunch.

 Cowbeech circular. Gently undulating walk through an orchard and farms,

 woods and across streams. 4 stiles.

 Pevensey levels circular via Chilley Farm where we stop for refreshments.

 Start at Pevensey Castle. Generally flat with some stiles. Park in High Street

 by West entrance to Castle.

 Fairwarp and Cackle Street. Gently undulating along field paths and

 country lanes with superb

  Circular walk from Horam, initially along Cuckoo trail towards Heathfield /

 Sandy Cross then south to Sapperton Wood and Hidden Spring Vineyard

 returning to Horam. 7 stiles.

 Chiddingly circular from Gun Hill. Fairly flat walk with some easy stiles.

please remember this is the time of year that we can get muddy patches on some walks. 

Make sure you have sturdy footwear, personal first aid kit, water and a mask (just in case).

We still meet at South Road car park to offer lifts at 9.15 for 9.30 start.
