PROGRAMME OF WEDNESDAY WALKS
We always meet at the Cuckoo Trail Car Park off South Road at 9:15 for a 9:30 start.
Just turn up, no need to book.
- All walkers should wear boots or stout shoes and bring something to drink, which is especially important in the summer months.
- It is recommended that members should carry their own first aid kit and always carry an ICE (In Case of Emergency) card in your bag when on our walks. It should give vital information like emergency contact details for first responders, medical conditions, allergies and medications, should an incident occur.
- The Strollers' walks are usually about 2 - 3 miles in length,
- The intermediate walks are 3 - 4 miles long and do not run in the winter. These walks always include refreshments at the end of the walk at a pub or restaurant near to where we have parked.
- The long walks are of 4 - 6 miles can involve steep inclines and stiles.
- Please inform the walk leader if you intend to meet the group at the start of the walk, instead of meeting at South Road Car Park, as changes may have been made.
- Although walking is one of the safest activities, we expect walkers to behave responsibly and to comply with any instructions or advice given by our walk leaders.
- Our Membership Secretary Barbara Olivier may be contacted by email at hailshamramblers@gmail.com or by telephone on 07709 998678
